Umbrella insurance covers you over and above all your other insurance policies, hence the name “umbrella.”

 

 

What Does It Cover?

 

An umbrella policy will provide coverage when a claim exceeds policy limits of other coverages. 

EXAMPLE: You have a claim to be sued for over a million dollars and your liability coverage only covers the first million. The umbrella policy will come into play to cover the remaining balance up to the umbrella policies limit.

 

Do I Need It?

 

Umbrella insurance coverage is highly recommended for truckers. Semi trucks can cause a lot of damage if an accident were to occur and lives were lost. An umbrella policy will cover and secure that  you stay in business.
